Mike Berube

Mike Berube joined Strata Worldwide in early 2010. He brought with him over 20 years of experience in business management, sales, and product development. Before joining Strata, Mike served as Director of Global Data Solutions for Argon ST, now Boeing. While at Argon ST, he led a business unit that successfully won and completed several DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) programs focused on wireless communications, wireless networking, and satellite communications. In addition, Mike leveraged technology developed for the U.S. Government and transitioned it to industrial applications such as Mining, Oil and Gas.

With this business management and technical experience, Mike has played a key role in developing the novel Electronic Safety Products Strata now offers. As President and CEO, Mike directs upper management in core business strategies and oversees the corporate road-map for future expansions.

David Jenks

Dave Jenks joined Strata in January 2013, bringing with him extensive mining industry operation and financial experience. Prior to joining Strata he served for 16 years at Joy Global as a Corporate Controller and Manager of Commercial Accounting , Global Product Director, Regional Sales and Operations Manager.

In his position at Strata, Jenks is responsible for the overall financial management of the company, its timely financial reporting and transparency, and multiple corporate duties including controllership, treasury, and economic strategy and forecasting

Tom Michaud

Tom Michaud brings a range of expertise to Strata Worldwide, with years of experience in the aerospace industry and extensive software and hardware development skills. Prior to joining Strata in 2010, Tom served in leadership positions such as VP of Engineering for Stellar Satellite Communication, co-founder and VP of Product Development at Skymate, and Director of System Engineering at ORBCOMM. He also headed up the development of flight software for ATK Space Systems. Tom holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering and an MBA. As CTO, Tom is responsible for overseeing all strategic and operational aspects of Strata Worldwide’s electronic offerings.

Dave Hakins

Dave Hakins has been a part of the Strata Worldwide team for over 10 years continuously evolving Strata’s line of Electronic Safety Products. Previously with Argon ST, Dave applied his experience across an array of engineering disciplines to the development of rugged tracking, wireless communication, and diagnostic products for the construction, logistics, oil, and mining industries.

Dave has a BSEE from Lehigh University and MSEE from Virginia Tech. His hands-on career spans a wide array of roles and development of systems used around the globe in space, sea, land, and underground. As CTO, responsible for Strata’s organically developed products, Dave leads Strata’s Electronic Safety engineering team with a passion for product reliability, innovation, and a focus on the customer experience.

Tony Napier

Tony Napier is an executive-level professional with over 30 years of experience in leading companies to achieve extraordinary results in global mining and tunnelling markets. With a background in communications and electronics, combined with a master’s degree in Business Administration, Tony has a proven track record in developing, implementing and guiding growth strategies in the METS sector. His core areas of expertise are in sales and product management, customer satisfaction, financial management and developing highly capable, empowered teams.

As Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director (APAC), Tony is responsible for Strata’ global operational planning and implementing company strategies into the daily operations to meet our overall objectives.

Mike Walling

Mike Walling joined Strata in 2012 and in his time has been actively involved in the sales and business development of the HazardAvert proximity detection and collision avoidance product line. He has served as the General Manager of HazardAvert in the Americas and managed the company’s global distributor network. With a strong drive for generating new business, interfacing with people and focusing on company growth, Mike was promoted in 2022 to President of all U.S. product lines for Strata Worldwide Americas.

In this role, Mike is responsible for the Americas P&L, business development and strategic growth for all the company’s product offerings.

Ian Cillie

Ian joined Strata in 2017 as General Manager of the company’s South African operations. Ian brings over 20 years of Southern Africa mining industry experience to his position. Serving as the sales and marketing director for Joy Global South Africa and managing director for SKF Southern Africa, Ian accrued extensive knowledge and valuable experience in managing business operations and product distribution into both coal and non-coal markets. Ian’s focus is to enhance and streamline Strata’s product development, sales, and distribution.

Ian Turner

Ian Turner joined Strata in July 2022 to lead the new European office, based in Germany. With more than 20 years in the industry, Ian is experienced in sales, business development and global marketing and has a demonstrated history of working in high-tech niche markets.

Ian has extensive experience within the underground arena, supplying mixed portfolios of products to the Mining and Tunnelling markets within the EMEA regions.

Ian Cadieux

Ian Cadieux joined Strata in September, 2020 as the Business Development Manager in Canada. Ian came to Strata with over 16 years of experience in mining and tunneling operations, eight of which were with Boart Longyear as Global Commercial Manager. Prior to that, Ian practiced corporate commercial law for seven years at a private practice in Ottawa, Canada. Ian holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a law degree from the University of Ottawa. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

Mike Rispin

Mike Rispin joined Strata in December 2020 as lead to Strata’s global tunneling division, Strata Tunneling. Mike brings over 38 years of international tunneling and mining expertise to the position, having also spent decades working in upper management for companies such as BASF, Normet and Dyno Nobel. At Strata Mike works closely with the business leaders and teams in the company's StrataProtect, StrataConnect and StrataGeotech divisions, bringing all pertinent product and service offerings to the tunneling markets around the globe.

Mike is a professional engineer with memberships in both the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and The Moles organization. He is currently the Past-Chair of the Underground Construction Association of SME. Strata Tunneling is also an Associate Member of The Beavers organization.

Banzi Giyose

Banzi Giyose is a South African businessman and mining entrepreneur with world-class competencies relating to mining-specific acquisitions, capital raising, and the development of resource studies/exploration across different commodities.

Giyose is co-founder and vice president of BG Global (Pty) Ltd and chairman of BG Global (LLC) New York, USA, and a director of several unlisted firms.

He’s a director of SP Mine Safety (SA) Pty Ltd. (Strata South Africa) and works closely with Strata management to further grow and develop the business across the South African mining markets.

In July 2021, SP Mine Safety officially announced a transaction to bring on BG Safety (Pty) Ltd as its Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) equity partner. BG Safety is an affiliate/subsidiary company of BG Global (Pty) Ltd and SP Mine Safety is the South African entity of Strata Products Worldwide LLC
